To boldly go where no man has gone before
The Starfleet Academy is a place for potential recruits/Trekkies to test their aptitudes in seven different specialisations – medicine, communications, tactical, command, engineering, science and navigation.
The team and I conceptualised the visitor experience and journey from scratch, and we came up with the activities and games, working very closely with CBS, the builders, museum curators, and programmers.
Visitors were greeted by the USS Intrepid. Then they were given an RFID wristband that would track their progress in the Academy.
A few of the games
(L) Medical Tricorder: Cadets had to scan the tricorder at the sick Klingon to correctly diagnose the patient's illness.
(R) Phaser Shooting: Cadets had to aim and shoot at the correct target.
The captain's bridge. Cadets would sit for the Kobayashi Maru test.
At the end of the exhibition, cadets would scan their RFID wristband for their results and certificate.
